Once the Pinwherry village schoolhouse, now a thoughtfully refurbished community hub — The Auld School Community Centre is where neighbours, groups and organisations come together. Whether you're hosting a yoga class, a christening tea, a parish meeting or a birthday céilidh, we've got a space to suit.
Flexible spaces, fair prices
Our refurbished building offers five distinct areas, each suited to different occasions:
- a bright Main Hall with trestle tables and stackable chairs — perfect for parties, classes and larger gatherings
- a cosy Lounge Area with sofas, tub chairs and a tea and coffee station — ideal for relaxed meetings or social groups
- a Meeting Room for smaller, focused gatherings
- a Commercial sized kitchen, available alongside main hall room hire
The whole building is fully accessible, has WiFi throughout, and is in a lovely rural location.
Affordable rates for the community
We believe community spaces should be open to everyone. That's why we offer discounted rates for Pinwherry & Pinmore area residents and community groups, with charges starting from just £5 per hour. Charities and commercial hirers are equally welcome at our standard rates.
